Salt and Sanctuary does borrow a lot from From Software's Dark Souls series but features strong enough design to make itself distinct. It's odd that Salt and Sanctuary took this long to make the jump to Xbox One, as the game has been steadily released on all major consoles since 2016, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The Xbox port is being handled by BlitWorks, who has worked on ports such as Bastion, Super Meat Boy, Spelunky and Don't Starve. Salt and Sanctuary will release on Xbox One on February 6, 2019. Developed by Ska Studios (famous for Dishwasher: Dead Samurai), they announced the news on their official website, and Xbox players need not wait long to play it. The excellent 2D Souls-like Salt and Sanctuary is finally coming to Xbox.
